This site is dedicated to OpenFTPD, an advanced free opensource FTP server program (ftpd) for Linux and BSD systems. It is based on the FTP4ALL project but includes a lot of new features and changes.

OpenFTPD contains work by Buba, Crescent, Crestor, hvr, Mr.Slam, Pedro, Poing, Primemover, Senfgurke, Soulshock, Topace, Vortexia and others.

We still need skilled coders and beta testers with coding knowledge or at least good unix skills, there is still a lot to do. So if you want to help us creating the best available ftpd don't wait and join the team now. We are also interested in comments, concepts or feature requests for future versions

If you already wrote or ported an addon/script for OpenFTPD please let us know and we maybe can include it to the distribution or add it on the website.

Status

The 0.29 tree is final, no further work will be done. The 0.30 snapshots are stable now. I started a complete rewrite in C#/.NET contact me for more information.
